With modern anesthesia and microscope-assisted technique, root canal treatment is largely painless during the procedure. Mild soreness for 1–2 days afterwards is normal and easily managed with simple medication.
Most root canals are completed in one or two sittings of 45–90 minutes each, depending on the tooth and complexity. You'll receive a clear estimate after the first examination.
